Jonathan B Jones is a 25-year veteran of the Technology and Public School fields. Starting at an early age, and becoming one of the youngest Information Technology Supervisors in the state, has managed numerous large programs and projects. These include renovating 20 public schools, upgrading and managing large enterprise scale networks and departments, and developing and deploying large-scale budgets to ensure efficient and rapid delivery of services.

His niche has always been cost savings and creating long-term solutions for schools and taxpayers. Not only focusing on purchasing but projected cost savings and total cost of ownership dollars. Limiting the impact of technology funding on local budgets by increasing alternate avenues of funding such as lease purchases, grant acquisitions, and co-op purchases with other agencies to reduce overall costs.

Below are just some of the testimonials of current and previous supervisors and co-workers:
Dean Allison, BA
Jon’s technical knowledge and experience as a working supervisor is superb. He is also excellent in
supervising his staff, ensuring that they were trained, motivated and organized. And his commitment to
the district in terms of satisfying the Principals and his teacher customers, and ensuring that he met
installation objectives, was always demonstrated by the extra hours and effort he devoted to the job.
Jason Bing, Superintendent of Schools
Mr. Jones has taken the lead on many district-wide projects: telecommunications, security tech, tech training, development/facilitation of tech plan, 3 minute walk through, and more. Mr. Jones has brought the district into the 21st century updating every classroom and providing comprehensive training. He works well with staff and administration and addresses concerns in a timely fashion. He has also saved the district money in the area of telecommunications and continues to explore more efficient methods of operation. He has played an integral role in connecting technology and curriculum. He has also cleaned up the district-wide database aligning it with the needs of the district. Jon is commended on his leadership abilities and out of the box thinking-he often sees solutions to problems others may not.
